Who I Am: In my nursing career of over 25 years I have undergone extensive training in the specialized fields of neurology and psychiatry, which eventually led me to my true passion of becoming a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Throughout my career, I’ve been deeply interested in the brain and its complexity. My path into mental health was shaped by a lifetime of witnessing the impact of mental illness on those around me. Helping others grow, improve their well-being, and experience a better quality of life has always been a central passion of mine, and it continues to guide the work I do today.

What Drives Me: Living and serving in a rural Central Valley community, I see firsthand the significant barriers to mental health care: provider shortages, long travel distances, limited insurance options, and delays in treatment. Stigma and privacy concerns further prevent many from seeking help, often leading to untreated conditions and worsening well-being. In response, I offer accessible telehealth services that bring care directly to patients in the comfort and convenience of their homes, along with flexible scheduling, including after-hours appointments, to better meet their needs and reduce barriers to timely support.

My Mission & Purpose: As a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and dedicated mental health nurse, I am committed to expanding access to compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals facing mental health challenges. My work is guided by a clear purpose: to reduce barriers to treatment, advocate for underserved populations, and provide holistic, person-centered support. I strive to deliver high-quality care that integrates clinical expertise with empathy, addressing not only symptoms but the whole person. By fostering trust and understanding, I aim to empower individuals to build resilience, achieve stability, and improve their overall quality of life. Through this approach, my goal is to contribute to a more inclusive and responsive mental health care system; one in which every individual feels seen, heard, supported, and understood.
